KINA GRANNIS
An intimate portrait of Kina Grannis, a Los Angeles singer / songwriter and artist who, through years of blood, sweat, tears and a crazy creative leap into stop motion jelly bean music videos, found serious stardom on YouTube.
This piece was one of four episodes in MAKE IT HAPPEN, a documentary short film series about amazing women who take great leaps to explore their wildest dreams.
This episode was produced in 2015 in collaboration with Tool of North America, an LA-based production company, and director Joseph Garner known for his 2012 documentary Craigslist Joe.
As the executive producer, I developed the series concept, scouted and onboarded all production partners and sketched a unified vision for the directors and producers of each episode. During the edit, I worked closely with the team to provide final direction on story development and editing.
The series received nearly a million views across various social channels within a few weeks.
